Chivalry 90 FPS Fix
Chivalry uses Unreal Engine 3 which has a default frame rate cap of 90. To change the limit and get more than 90 frames per second you have to edit your .ini files.
Chivalry uses Unreal Engine 3 which has a default frame rate cap of 90. To change the limit and get more than 90 frames per second you have to edit your .ini files.
There are 2 .ini files you need to edit. C:\Users\{YOURUSERNAME}\Documents\My Games\Chivalry Medieval Warfare\UDKGame\Config\UDKEngine.ini and C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\chivalrymedievalwarfare\Engine\Config\BaseEngine.ini
Search for bSmoothFrameRate and change to to TRUE, and set MaxSmoothedFrameRate=150. You have change this in 2 spots in each of the files.
Now your frame rate will only be limited by your refresh rate and you can get 120 frames per second if you have a 120hz monitor. There is no way to get a higher frame rate higher than 90 and your monitor's refresh rate because of the way the engine works.
This fix works for both Chivalry: Medieval Warfare and Chivalry: Deadliest Warrior.
