Ninjas have been known to use paper as a weapon, whatever you do, don't let a ninja have paper. If you have ever gotten a paper cut you have a small idea of the power of paper. Paper cuts only happen when you hit the paper just right, well ninjas have perfected this technique. In fact, the very elite ninjas are able to chop of limbs and even chop through steel with only a piece of paper.
Throwing just a plain sheet of paper isn't very effect. So when a ninja needs to use paper as a projectile he or she folds it into an origami paper ninja throwing star. Since I'm such a nice ninja I'll show you how to make one. It takes less than a second to make for the average ninja.
First you need to make it square. Fold a right triangle as shown in the pictures below.
Now tear or cut off the chunk on the right then unfold the triangle and a square is revealed!
Now fold your square piece of paper in half, unfold it, and cut or tear along the crease.
Now you have two pieces of paper!
Fold each piece in half as shown.
Now fold each piece in half the other way and unfold it to form a crease as shown.
For one piece of paper fold the left side up and the right side down. For the other piece of paper do the opposite and fold the left side down and the right side up.
Flip both pieces of paper upside down.
Now fold the top flap down and the bottom flap up.
Do the same thing for the other piece too.
Now fold the new top flap down and the new bottom flap up for both pieces.
Now comes the hardest part. Unfold the flaps on both pieces and fold them into the other piece.
You have just made your own paper throwing star!
